Generali Global Corporate & Commercial Appointed Paolo Silvestri as New Head of Aviation

Milan – Generali Global Corporate & Commercial (GC&C) announces the appointment of Paolo Silvestri as the new Head of Aviation, effective October 1st. He will also maintain, ad interim, the role of Head of Aviation within the Underwriting Function of GC&C Italy. Massimo Orsini, the former GC&C Head of Aviation, will continue as GC&C Head of Cyber Insurance.
Silvestri has a strong background in the aviation insurance industry, having worked for over twenty years in various positions within Generali, gaining deep knowledge of all relevant technical and commercial aspects. He will further enhance the development of the GC&C Aviation portfolio, ensuring underwriting excellence to drive growth and deliver exceptional value to customers and brokers.

Silvestri is a delegate of both Italian Associazione Nazionale Imprese Assicuratrici (ANIA) and International Union of Aerospace Insurers (IUAI); he holds a bachelor’s degree in Law from Università degli Studi di Parma.
